Sabine DUFLO
Psychologist
After studying in a literary preparatory class, Sabine passed the CAPES in philosophy, which allows her to teach this discipline in high school. She then studied psychology and obtained a postgraduate diploma in clinical psychopathology, which allows her to work as a psychotherapist in the public hospital sector. She has worked with ASD (autistic) children, in a family therapy unit, in a consultation for children with high intellectual potential (HPI), and in a CMP (medical-psychological centre). Currently she works as a psychologist in a closed psychiatric centre for adolescents.
Understanding with whom and with what the child or adolescent interacts every day of their life is for her the best way to get to know them. This is why she is interested in the part taken by screens and their role in the lives of young people.
Sabine has created a website sabineduflo.fr which lists articles on the effects of screens on young people and a collective of children's professionals, "CoSE", which has set itself the mission of informing about the risks incurred by children who are overexposed to screens. The collective has a website, surexpositionecrans.org. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of "Lève les yeux", an association that raises awareness of the health and societal risks linked to the invasion of our lives by screens, and a member of the ARCOM expert committee for young people. ARCCOM is the French public authority whose mission is to regulate audiovisual and digital communication.
