Piers FACCINI
Painter, folk singer and composer
Piers Faccini is an English painter and folk singer of Italian origin. From his first album, Leave no Trace in 2004, he reveals a delicate and refined songwriting, borrowing from folk, blues and African music. In 2013 he released Between Dogs & Wolves, which the newspaper Libération as well as Telerama chose for their best album of 2013, citing him as having "built one of the most exciting works of our time."
His most recent album Shapes of the Fall received international press awards and in France the album won the Victory for Best World Music Album. Since 2005, he has been touring the world, performing in multiple territories such as the U.S., Canada, Australia, Japan and all of Europe.
Piers Faccini is also a composer of numerous soundtracks for English and French television (BBC, Channel 4 and Arte). He is currently creating the music for the 5 documentaries of the series GARDIENS DE LA FORÊT (Arte/Lato Sensu Productions).
