Perrine HERVÉ-GRUYER

Perrine HERVÉ-GRUYER

Founder of the Bec Hellouin Organic Farm

After studying international law, Perrine worked in a law firm in Tokyo, while volunteering her time for the High Commissioner for Refugees. She then worked as a legal department manager for a company in Hong Kong. But Perrine's first world was high level sports. This experience taught her a lot about the body, nutrition and health, an interest that she deepened during her six years in Japan and China, where she discovered the art of massage and meditation.

At the age of 30, she radically changed her path, beginning her studies as a psychotherapist. She practiced for several years, in particular leading relaxation trainings in schools (for children and teachers), as well as in companies. She has published "La relaxation en famille" (Presses de la Renaissance). In 2003 Perrine co-founded the Bec Hellouin Organic Farm. The first objective of this adventure was to feed her children with healthy products, made with the work of her hands. While the Bec Helloun Organic Farm was officially created in 2006, it has developed over the years and has received strong recognition, notably thanks to the various scientific studies that have been conducted.

The discovery of permaculture had a deep resonance for Perrine; she studied it in Japan, England and Cuba. Shewas a regional advisor of Haute-Normandie from 2010 to 2016, in charge of the development of organic agriculture. In this capacity, she collaborated with different actors of the agricultural world. She was certified as an applied permaculture teacher on May 7, 2013. Her commitment to permaculture and society was recognized by her nomination to the order of Chevalier de l'Ordre National du Mérite in 2018.

Perrine is also a permaculture speaker and consultant. She now focuses exclusively on these activities, participating in the growth of microfarms, the development of permaculture projects in business, and the disclosure of permaculture principles in the workplace and for the general public.
