Nelly PONS

Author, lecturer and author of "Océan plastique"

Born in 1980 on a farm, Nelly Pons grew up in the Provençal hills of the Marseille hinterland. She develops a very strong sensitivity to light, the sea, landscapes and the living world that populates them.

At the age of 23, after a double graduate of scientific (Applied mathematics and social sciences) and cultural (Design and implementation of cultural projects) courses, she began a career made up of multiple paths combining creation (dance, writing, sound, etc.) and commitment (cultural mediation, journalism, NGO work, events, etc.). Today, Nelly Pons lives in the Ardèche Cévennes where she devotes herself to writing and transmission. At Actes Sud, she has notably signed the titles Océan plastique (2020), Débuter son potager en permaculture and Choisir de ralentir (2017, illustrations by Pome Bernos), as well as collaborating on the books Animal by Cyril Dion (2021) and Vers la sobriété heureuse by Pierre Rabhi (2010).

In 2022, appear Déplastifier sa vie (Actes Sud, illustrations by Pome Bernos) and La permaculture (collection “Que sais-je?”, Puf). Writings, which are part of the extension of his commitment to the defense of the living and propose a transformation of our relationship to the world.
