Marie LEROY
Climate and Environment Specialist of CARE France
Marie Leroy is a climate and environment specialist for the NGO CARE France. An expert on climate change adaptation issues in Southern countries, she has been coordinating the implementation of CARE France's projects on this topic since 2017.
The issues of gender equality and inclusiveness of the most vulnerable people, on which Marie has specific expertise, are at the core of the projects she supervises. Marie also leads, within CARE and jointly with other French NGOs, a project to measure and reduce the environmental footprint of humanitarian aid. Previously, Marie worked for the United Nations Environment Programme in Bangkok and Paris, as well as for the French Development Agency (AFD).
