Lucie BASCH

Founder Too good to go

An engineer, Lucie Basch started her career in the food-processing industry in the UK. Witnessing the scope of food waste in her branch, she quit her job and imagined a concept that would empower any citizen to fight food waste at their own level.

Because “collaboration is the new competition”, she joined forces with a couple of young entrepreneurs in Denmark that had a similar idea and together, they created Too Good To Go. She launched Too Good To Go in France in June 2016, with great success. She is currently the Chief Expansion Officer of Too Good To Go global. Worldwide, since 2016, more than 160 million meals have been saved, Too Good To Go has more than 160,000 business partners, 60 million users and counts 1,400 employees in 17 countries. She is a member of the Carrefour Food Orientation Committee and a Board member of France Digitale.

In 2021, Lucie wins the BCG award of Social Entrepreneur of the Year. In 2020, she is also listed among the Top 40 Women of Forbes France and is one of the “100 Women who change the world” according to French business magazine Challenges.
