Writer and journalist, expert in ecological transition
Lionel Astruc is a writer and journalist, expert in ecological transition. He has notably worked for Libération, l'Express, La Vie and Géo and has written eighteen books (novels, investigations, essays) most of which have been published by Actes Sud. Several of his books have been co-written with Vandana Shiva, Rob Hopkins or prefaced by Olivier De Schutter or Pierre Rabhi.
Lionel Astruc produced the first French-language investigative book revealing the affair of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation: "The art of false generosity" reissued in pocket format (Babel) in August 2022. Alongside his books and articles, he is the co-founder of the University Domaine du Possible and headed the Ekibio Group Foundation. Also a photographer, his documentary work in many countries, particularly on the origins of our consumer products, has been exhibited in New York, Berlin, Paris and Arles.
