Laurent SIMON
Research Professor in Artificial Intelligence at Bordeaux INP and Bordeaux University
Laurent Simon holds a Full Professor position at ENSEIRB-MATMECA (Bordeaux INP). His research, located at the LaBRI (Laboratoire Bordelais de Recherche en Informatique), focuses on the design of tools for solving highly combinatorial logic problems, typically used in proofs and certifications.
He was the leader of two ANR projects on this topic and since 2022 he holds an Industrial Chair on Trustworthy AI. He is the director of the computer science department of ENSEIRB-MATMECA and president of the French association of constraint programming. He is the co-author of Glucose, a SAT solver (SAT problem), winner of many international competitions in the field.
