Karin Viard is a French actress noticed in the 1990s.
The actress is revealed by her leading roles in films such as "La Nage indienne" (1993) or "Les Randonneurs" (1997), with two César nominations. She won the César for Best Actress and the Lumière for Best Actress in 2000 thanks to her striking lead role in " Haut les cœurs ! " (1999). Karin Viard also won the César for Best Supporting Actress twice, for her performances in "Embrassez qui vous voudrez" (2002) and in the drama "Les Chatouilles" (2018).
Her acting in various films such as "The Role of Her Life" (2004), "Polisse" (2011), "La Famille Bélier" (2014) or "Jalouse" (2017) earned her other nominations for the César for best actress. For March 2023, Karin Viard is appointed president of the jury of the 26th edition of the Festival de l'Alpe d'Huez.
