Hélène GENIN
Technical Director of Château Latour
Hélène GENIN is originally from Lorraine where she pursued her studies until she obtained an agricultural baccalaureate. She then went on to study for an engineering degree with a focus on forest management and environmental protection. After failing the entrance exam to the Engineering School, she reoriented herself towards viticulture and oenology, a field of agriculture that spoke more to her heart.
After a BTS (Diploma Advanced Technician) specialized in viticulture-oenology in Rouffach in Alsace and a new preparation for the Grandes Ecoles, she became an agricultural engineer in Montpellier. She returned to Château Latour in September 2001, never to leave again. From quality manager when she joined the estate, she became cellar manager in 2011 and technical director in 2014.
