Halimata FOFANA
Writer and author
Halimata Fofana is passionate about literature, theater and writing.
In 2015, she published her first novel “Mariama l’écorchée vive”.
Cosmopolitan, Halimata remains very close to the culture of her Senegalese parents. She was born in France and lived in Canada for several years. Her second book "A l’ombre de la Cité Rimbaud" published by Editions du Rocher, is a story that questions with singular energy the situation of many young people who feel torn between two cultures, two territories, two futures. She returns to the trauma of excision and its consequences. "A nos corps excisés", documentary of which she is the author and the main character was broadcast on the Franco-German channel Arte in July 2022.
