Christine OBERDORFF
Journalist-Director at USHUAIA TV
After a career that began on Reunion Island and in Polynesia in the early 90s, this mother of three has been traveling the world since 2007 for Ushuaïa TV (TF1 group).
In the documentary series “Les Enquêtes d'Ushuaia TV” (2012-2020), which she presented and edited, Christine Oberdorff highlighted an "ecology at the level of men". From Africa to the shores of the Arctic, through China, Thailand, Iraq, or Colombia, everywhere in the world, men and women are mobilizing against the inevitability of climate change and it is these resisters of nature whom Christine likes to give a voice with empathy in her films ... in the name of peace whose maintenance depends more than ever on the preservation of the environment. Always driven by this same desire, she launched in February 2021, the new documentary collection “L'autre voyage” co-produced by Zed and Ushuaïa TV.
In “L'autre voyage”, Christine Oberdorff proposes to discover how these regions, countries or islands traditionally seen as paradises or, on the contrary, as destinations to be avoided, have another side to offer, beyond the clichés and prejudices. Each of these destinations is confronted with a major geopolitical and environmental challenge that radically redesigns the links between man and nature.
