Right after her graduation from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Versailles, Christine Leconte set up her own architectural practice to build her diploma based on a drinking water plant and a hydrogeological park in the Seine Valley, similar to nature parks: How to develop the land while preserving the underground resources? She was awarded the prize of the "Palmarès des jeunes urbanistes" in 2010 for her research on resources.

For several years, she has been advocating an urban planning approach based on the "repair of the city", to limit the waste of land and resources and the demolition of existing buildings. As part of the Regional Council of the Order of Architects of the Ile-de-France region, she created a Liaison Committee for Biosourced Materials with the Chamber of Agriculture, in order to encourage the local supply chains. For the past 3 years, she has been appointed as a consultant-architect for the French Government, a position she holds in the Normandy region. She teaches architectural and urban design at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Versailles as an associate lecturer. Strongly committed against urban sprawl, she proposed and chaired a working group on suburban residential areas for the Think Tank "La fabrique écologique".

Elected President of the National Council of the Order of Architects in 2021, she aims to strengthen the links between territories and stakeholders. She also wishes to place architecture as one of the ecological, economic, and societal solutions in our 21st century. She wrote a book entitled "Réparons la ville, propositions pour nos villes et nos territoires" ("Let's Repair the City, Proposals for Our Cities and Territories") with the urban planner Sylvain Grisot, published in February 2022.
