Alice GAVOILLE

Project manager for ecological engineering in the marine environment at Seaboost

Her passion for the marine environment dates from her childhood and its riches have never ceased to fascinate her, despite her long-distance relationship with it as she grew up in Alsace. This passion has not left her, enhanced by different encounters and opportunities. But it is also the distress alerts of this environment and the issues they raise today that have attracted her attention. Graduated from AgroParisTech in 2020, various experiences have marked her student career.

They allowed her to understand the issues related to climate change and ecosystem conservation from the point of view of different economic actors: after a short experience at Seaboost, she did an internship in Australia, at the Blue Carbon Lab, an organization dedicated to the research of solutions for climate change mitigation and the preservation of carbon sink ecosystems, before moving on to the Environment department of a major private group. She finally closed the loop by joining the Seaboost team again after graduating from AgroParisTech: after this short overview of organizations, this is where she found "her best place".

Through an activity that binds innovation and scientific expertise, she put her skills at the service of the marine environment preservation and restoration issues. As a professional scuba-diver, she is currently involved in operational and study projects dedicated to the restoration of marine and coastal ecosystems, particularly in tropical areas - mangroves and coral reefs. Based on biomimicry, nature-based solutions and eco-design of offshore structures, her team innovates to ensure that their approach is always more relevant and consistent with natural ecosystems, responsible, beneficial to local communities and has significant, large-scale and sustainable effects.
